Program Manager - Community Living Home Share, Temp Full-Time Join Taproot Community Support Services as a Program Manager for the Community Living Home Share division. The Position The Program Manager (PM) provides operational and administrative direction for the development, implementation, and management of the Community Living Home Share Program in this CARF‑accredited agency. The PM implements and monitors policies and procedures related to day‑to‑day services to persons served, directs and coordinates the daily management of program staff, oversees and coordinates individual program plans, and serves as the primary liaison with the contracting body. The PM may carry a caseload of up to 10 persons served. Scheduling Temporary, full‑time position, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 0900‑1700, with flexibility required. On‑call and after‑hours support as needed. Estimated duration 18 months. This position requires frequent travel and use of own vehicle. In Your Role You Will Recruit, screen, hire, supervise, and evaluate performance of program staff; coordinate work allocation, training, and problem resolution; motivate employees to peak performance and productivity; take disciplinary action when required. Ensure program and staff compliance with policies, procedures and agency values; use best practices when supporting persons served. Establish and maintain a program structure and staffing to effectively accomplish agency goals; coordinate recruitment, employment, training, supervision, evaluation, and discipline of staff. Coach and mentor staff; lead and participate in team‑building activities. Ensure compliance with applicable collective agreement and facilitate on‑site grievance meetings. Develop and maintain program standards and procedures that comply with provincial and agency policies, regulations, standards, and guidelines; establish and coordinate outcome evaluation, quality improvement, and safety protocols and procedures. Define and implement short‑ and long‑term goals, objectives, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and enact required changes. Contribute to agency policy development by participating in planning, policy‑making, and committees. Develop and manage annual program budget; perform periodic cost and productivity analyses. Produce program, occupancy, annual and other reports. Advocate effectively for service recipients. Represent the program and/or agency at inter‑agency forums, media, government agencies, families/caregivers, funding bodies, and the general public; network with other agencies, organizations, individuals, and community groups; participate on community boards, committees, and professional groups. Participate in staff meetings and case conferences as required. Maintain physical environment according to established standards; complete required inspections and follow‑up. Ensure staff use practices that promote the health, welfare, safety, and security of service recipients and staff. Support menus and food plans that meet established nutritional standards. Comply with crisis prevention and intervention standards and practices. Ensure staff dispensing medication are properly trained and dispense medication per Medication Safety and Advisory Committee guidelines. Operate motor vehicles safely and legally while transporting service recipients or for Taproot business. Provide on‑call and emergency coverage on pager or cell. Prior to confirmation of employment, applicants must provide a copy of a current Criminal Record Check and/or Government Screening Letter. As an Ideal Candidate You Possess Undergraduate or master’s degree in applied behavioural analysis, psychology, social work, or special education combined with experience training others in behavioural psychology, assessment techniques, treatment design and implementation. Minimum three years’ experience with behavioural challenges and interventions. Minimum one year supervisory/management experience; preferably in a related social services environment. Other Requirements Valid CPR/First Aid, WHMIS, and Food Hygiene and Sanitation certificates (or ability to obtain within probation period). MANDT and Conflict Resolution Certificate (or ability to obtain within probation period). Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract with reliable, safe vehicle that has appropriate insurance. Strong conflict resolution, mediation, crisis prevention and intervention skills. Prior experience implementing behavioural interventions. Prior experience with trauma‑informed practices. Knowledge of human resources management principles and practices; employee development and performance management skills, including ability to supervise and train staff, and organize, prioritize, and schedule work.
