What You’ll Be Doing As a member of CIBC’s DT QA team, the QE co‑ordinator, IT Quality Assurance is responsible for developing and executing test scenarios and scripts for functional system integration and acceptance testing across multiple platforms, in compliance with established controls, standards, policies, and procedures. The QE co‑ordinator troubleshoots problems and provides technical training to less experienced employees, maintaining test system configurations and executing test scripts using test tools for compliance with testing standards. The role proactively addresses problems within the scope of responsibility and identifies areas for improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, publishing, and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, automation scripts, virtualization solutions, status reports, defect logs, and exit reports. They will manage defects throughout their lifecycle, identify and secure required test data and environments, and develop, publish, and execute testing estimates and financials. This role involves managing and leading the testing activities for projects or workstreams, as well as overseeing a team of test analysts, including capacity management, performance management, productivity, quality of work, and compliance requirements. The candidate will ensure strict adherence to QA/QE standards and support the implementation of new standards, while proactively recognizing areas for improvement in policies, processes, procedures, and methodologies. Tracking and reporting QA/QE metrics and KPIs, such as velocity and defect slippage, are integral to the role, as is identifying, managing, and remediating noncompliance items and deviations. How You’ll Succeed Execute Testing Activities: Analyze, define, and translate business and functional requirements, use cases, designs, and specifications into testing requirements. Manage and coordinate end to end testing activities for small and large projects across many teams with both onsite and offshore resources. Collaboration: Work with test leads, business, business analysts and development teams to establish test plans, standards, and procedures that add value to software project and satisfy the constraints of the project by reviewing project documentation. Monitor & Reporting: Monitor project adherence to quality standards and track/provide progress testing status reporting as needed. Adhere to CIBC’s processes through all phases of the software development life cycle – ensuring test activities are compliant with test standards. Recognizing, anticipating, and resolving testing activities challenges during the testing life cycle. Who You Are You can demonstrate 2-3 year's experience in Software Testing Life Cycle – Agile or Waterfall methodologies, QA approaches, GitHub CoPilot or other Gen AI based tools, Git, Jira, Confluence and/or other similar Agile, development and QA tools, Parasoft, Rest API and/or other API testing and virtualization tools, Perfecto and/or other mobile and browser testing tools. You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or similar. You understand that success is in detail. You notice things that others don't.
