If you are an Accountant with 5+ years relevant accounting work experience who is looking for a successful and exciting global company to work for, this could be the place for youWhat — the role: Our client is seeking a new Senior Financial Analyst for their Global FP&A team and specifically for their product team. The FP&A function at this company has two teams — one on the corporate side and one on the product side. This role is for the product team, and specifically providing FP&A on hardware products. Reporting into a fantastic Manager (who is very happy to mentor someone with high potential) who in turns reports into the Senior Director, Global FP&A.This is a very well-rounded Sr FA role and involves a blend of two key components: “traditional FP&A” AND “strategic, ad hoc FP&A”. The traditional FP&A component of the role includes work at period-end such as analysis of actuals vs forecasts, variance analysis on revenues, costs, and gross margins, and tracking budgets to plans. The ad hoc component involves strategic business partnership on such initiatives as a new product launch (how, when, where to launch), product discontinuation or changes, product performance analysis, revenue projections, business cases, etc. For both components, the Sr. FA will be involved in giving presentations of FP&A findings and business recommendations to a variety of stakeholders, including the FP&A team as well as to non-finance decision makers in product management and sales. The Sr FA will also participate in various process improvements projects such as system optimization and workforce planning. The recruitment agency will provide interested candidates with a detailed job description.Who — the candidate: We are looking for an individual with at least 4 years of progressive financial planning & analysis work experience. Relevant Finance or Accounting designation such as CA, CPA, CMA or CFA is highly preferred. Experience working in the tech sector and specifically partnering with product management is beneficial, but this is NOT required for a quick learner who is eager to face challenges in an exciting and fast-paced industry.The recruitment agency will be considering candidates who have corporate and/or operational FP&A experience. Candidates must have advanced proficiency in Excel with the ability to create financial models from scratch. Candidates will have a friendly, clear, and professional communication style and will be confident presenting FP&A findings to both finance and non-finance audiences.
