We invite you to bring your bold ideas and big dreams and become part of a global team of over 50,000 professionals delivering projects that create a positive impact around the world.Job SummaryIn this role, you will be responsible for leading electrical design on high-profile projects.Major ResponsibilitiesThe senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for the teamProvide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertiseDevelop study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by othersParticipate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and serve as an interface between the Electrical Engineering team and other engineering services to facilitate coordinated projectsCoordinate Electrical systems with other disciplines and prepare Project Agreement Technical requirements to meet project requirementsSupervise and review the design of electrical normal, UPS and emergency power systemsSupervise and review Power System Analysis, Arc Flash Evaluations, Short Circuit Analysis, Equipment Evaluation and Protective Device Coordination using SKM; analyze 208V, 600V, 4.16kV, 13.8kV, 27.6kV, and 44KV systems as per OESC, OBC, NEC, NFPA and IEEE standardsPerform Site Survey for information gathering and Panel inventory at facilities for study purposesProduce quality electrical engineering plans, ensuring compliance with department, project, company, utility and regional electrical entity requirements; plans include power, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systemsDevelop estimates of technical efforts for projects and provide support for construction cost estimatesProvide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirementsSupervise and mentor electrical team membersReview and approve work completed by other electrical team members including quality control review of design calculations and drawingsPrepare technical specification sectionsKnowledge of TGS, LEED and Net Zero standards is an assetProficiency with REVIT, AUTOCAD, Microstation, ETAP and SKM software is an assetQualificationsMinimum Requirements:A University Degree in Electrical Engineering and Six (6) + years of relevant experienceProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario in good standingPreferred Requirements:Ideally, fifteen (15+) years of electrical design experience; experience with transportation projects for clients such as TTC, VIA, Mx, CN and other regional or municipal transit agencies is an assetAdditional InformationRelocation is not available for this positionSponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this positionOffered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
