Job Description Engineer In Training (EIT) May 2026 Musselwhite Mine Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a prospective development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board and shareholder base. Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources. We are also advancing permitting and development on our South Railroad Project, a feasibility-stage, open-pit heap leach project located on the prolific Carlin trend in Nevada. This project is part our larger South Carlin Complex which includes a prospective land package. We recently acquired the Musselwhite Mine located in Northern Ontario on Lake Opapimiskan, a gold mine with more than 25 years of operating history. The addition of Musselwhite has allowed Orla to more than double our gold production and provide a strategic entry into a Tier 1 mining jurisdiction. The Musselwhite Mine is highly prospective with potential to expand resources and mine life for years to come. Purpose As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated Engineer-In-Training (EIT) to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across multiple departments, including Ventilation, RMX, and Mine Planning. Reporting to the department senior engineers, the EIT will support the delivery of high-quality engineering designs and daily operational deliverables. The EIT will work closely with operations, technical services, and other key teams to support safe, efficient, and optimized production. Responsibilities include : Work collaboratively with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable mining practices. Support the completion of ventilation surveys and airflow measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards. Assist with the design, monitoring, and optimization of the mines ventilation systems. Participate in ground control inspections, data collection, and geotechnical monitoring programs. Assist in the interpretation of ground conditions and in the development of ground support designs. Develop stope and development drill‑and‑blast designs in Deswik.CAD, adhering to internal engineering standards and industry best practices. Produce short‑term deliverables including daily blast packages, gas clearance layouts, and drilling instructions. Maintain accurate engineering documentation, reports, and drawings. Comply with all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Skills and Experience : Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline; strong academic performance is a significant asset. 01 year of relevant experience in an underground mining environment (co‑op or internship experience considered an asset). Familiarity with Deswik.CAD and Deswik.MDM, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Demonstrated commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Working Conditions The schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per day. #J-18808-Ljbffr
