Job Opportunity Senior Team Lead (TL) – Ecosystem (Terrestrials, Aquatics & Indigenous Services) at the Environmental Services Business Centre (BC). Report directly to the BC Operations Leader (BCOL) and collaborate with BC Leadership and TLs. Application Deadline November 15, 2025 Key Responsibilities Participate actively in TL meetings, providing insights and representing the Ecosystem team. Collaborate with teams to drive new technical initiatives or service lines. Guide projects as a subject‑matter Expert or technical discipline lead. Develop proposals and submissions for client projects. Produce technical reports when requested. Meet client and project deadlines by timely work. Assist the Ecology team with complex tasks, where required. Liaise and communicate with sector leads, sector reps, and PMs to align proposals and work. Leadership Duties Guide up to 8 TLs in tactical management of multidisciplinary teams. Define & communicate team goals aligned with BC strategic objectives. Track and optimise utilisation rates, ensuring balanced resource allocation. Partner with BC, Technical Discipline & Area Leads to manage staff dev‑op and business‑growth. Recruit and onboard new hires, overseeing IT set‑up. Coach TLs on career progress and dev‑ops (individuals & teams). Recommend career‑level & rate decisions. Own performance‑review cycle and help deliver feedback. Support ongoing evaluations & constructivi e feedback. Maintain rapport with Tech Area & BC Leaders. Champion recognition & rewards programmes. Partner safety staff to support mandatory training for all ecosystem members. Capabilities & Credentials Proven experience leading a diverse group in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Dynamic leader collaborating & motivating toward shared vision. Creative, solutions‑centric thinker with strong interpersonal & written/oral communication. Active, empathetic listener excelling in difficult discussions. Supportive delegator who is highly organised, multitask‑ready, and prioritises. Confident, collaborative decision‑maker. Transparent communicator adept at giving constructive feedback. Prior leadership/management experience preferred. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree from a recognised post‑secondary institution in a related field. Minimum 10 years of relevant environmental experience. Knowledge of provincial and federal regulatory processes is an asset. Typical office setting; computer‑based; Sedentary during long periods. Field work may expose you to inclement weather.
