Project Coordinator - Buildings Engineering CIMA+'s Buildings team is renowned for its expertise in designing high-quality buildings. Our goal is to support clients and design teams across Canada with high‑performance projects. We are currently looking for a Project Coordinator who will support our Buildings group and work on transit and municipal buildings projects. You will take responsibility for projects of a diverse nature and provide support for clients in the execution of their most ambitious undertakings. This hybrid role will be based out of our GTA or Ottawa offices. Primary Responsibilities Carry out multidisciplinary coordination and follow‑up with clients for medium to large‑scale projects. Proactively contribute to the search for solutions aimed at maximizing the quality and performance of projects. Identify and monitor issues that may affect budgets and timelines within established milestones. Liaise with clients, governments, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to guide projects through approval processes and effective information exchange. Perform a variety of cost/budget studies and research assignments, requiring analysis and interpretation of data. Monitor progress and performance against established terms of reference and work plans. Prepare, coordinate, and review contracts, work plans, reports, and documents; obtain sign‑offs as required. Prepare PowerPoint presentations for clients and internal stakeholders summarizing project status. Manage the process of calls for tenders, awarding, and negotiation of construction and professional services contracts. Assemble and deliver construction contracts and professional scopes of work. Qualifications University Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural) or Technical College with demonstrated experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience on engineering design and construction projects. Ability to read and understand engineering plans and technical specifications. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities, with exceptional initiative and attention to detail. Skills in work organization, priority management, and an interest in teamwork in a rapidly changing environment. Proficiency in project management software, including P6 Primavera and/or Microsoft Projects, is an asset. Sound professional judgment, initiative, and ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and across disciplines, as well as independently. PMP or LEED certification (asset). Working knowledge of Microsoft D365 (asset). Experience with managing multi‑discipline designs and construction projects (asset). Experience in bidding/negotiating contracts and developing strong business partnerships (asset).
