Aviva Canada Inc. has an exciting opportunity within our Commercial Lines team We are seeking a dedicated Head of Financial Lines to play a key role in our expansion into the Management Liability space, focusing on mid-market, large, and multinational risks. This role will oversee the combined ABI and GCS Financial Lines team. Your primary focus will be leveraging your Management Liability expertise and industry network relationships to grow a profitable Management Liability portfolio and further Aviva’s initiatives. You will lead the development of a full Management Liability product suite, including Directors’ and Officers’ Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Crime, and Errors & Omissions, servicing both privately held and publicly traded companies. You will also represent Aviva at external meetings with brokers and clients, driving profitable growth. What You'll Do Lead the Financial Lines strategy and development. Engage with the market and participate in client meetings across Canada to understand risk profiles. Develop and maintain broker relationships to generate business in the Management Liability space. Collaborate with Commercial Lines Underwriting team to cross-sell and support customer solutions. Build and develop Management Liability tools, solutions, and growth strategies with stakeholders. Stay informed on technical issues and work with the Central Technical Unit to improve policies and pricing. Engage with UK colleagues to stay updated on market dynamics and share insights. What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance. 10+ years of underwriting experience at a senior level, focusing on Management Solutions for mid-market or large accounts. Leadership experience in building and growing Management Liability portfolios. Established network with Canadian brokerages and clients. Professional qualifications related to Insurance or Finance are preferred. Bilingualism is an asset. Who You Are A self-starter, customer-focused, and solution-oriented.
