As a QA Specialist, you’ll ensure every NOVAC display meets our standards of performance, realism, and reliability. You’ll bring creativity and precision to your work, applying a methodical, analytical approach to uncover issues others might miss and turn findings into practical improvements. You’ll work closely with our software, product, and sales teams to refine usability, enhance performance, and ensure a seamless user experience. Strong communication and collaboration will be key to translate complex technical results into clear, actionable insights that help the team make informed decisions. What You’ll Do Execute and refine structured test plans across holographic and desktop environments to uncover bugs, glitches, and performance issues. Perform black-box, GUI, and exploratory testing to validate new features and identify risks early. Document, reproduce, and track issues using JIRA and similar tools, ensuring reports are clear, detailed, and actionable. Communicate test results effectively to developers, product, and sales engineers to drive quality improvements. Review software and system requirements to ensure comprehensive and efficient test coverage. Provide feedback on usability, performance, and user experience from both a tester’s and customer’s perspective. Continuously improve QA tools, workflows, and automation, maintaining a disciplined, repeatable approach to testing. What You’ll Need to Be Successful 2+ years of experience in software QA or QA testing. Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Game Design, Interactive Media or a related field. Familiarity with programming languages (C++, Python) or game engines (Unity, Unreal) is an asset. Experience with project management tools (JIRA) and version control systems (Git, Mercurial). Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex technical issues clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders. Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach to problem-solving. Naturally curious and proactive; you don’t just find problems, you dig into the “why.” A collaborative, adaptable approach; comfortable navigating a fast‑paced, evolving environment. A genuine interest in interactive technology, gaming, or 3D media, and excitement about testing the limits of what’s possible is a huge plus Why Join Avalon Holographics?
