SAP PP/QM Functional Lead Consultant

Position Overview Join NTT DATA North America as a SAP PP/QM Functional Lead Consultant in Toronto, Ontario. This role leads the implementation of SAP Production Planning and Quality Management, educating local teams, refining processes, prototyping solutions, and ensuring successful execution and post‑go‑live support. Responsibilities Educate local teams on SAP Production Planning/Quality Management functionality and SAP in general. Refine the Plan to Manufacture process scope, identifying gaps when necessary. Design and prototype SAP PP/QM functionality to facilitate key decision discussions. Perform system demonstrations to showcase standard SAP functionality, secure buy‑in, and identify gaps or requirements. Translate local business requirements into configuration requirements and perform system set‑ups in SAP. Identify functional specification requirements (reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, etc.) and collaborate with developers to produce technical specifications and designs. Work with security staff to create security profiles that support local needs. Perform field and value mappings for data conversion efforts. Demo updated system post‑build to showcase localization and validate requirements. Provide subject‑matter expertise during testing and resolve identified issues. Develop and deliver end‑user training or train‑the‑trainer workshops per the training plan. Support cutover and go‑live activities and perform tasks as part of the cutover schedule. Provide post‑go‑live support and resolve issues. Job Requirements Required Experience 10+ years in SAP design, prototyping, configuration/build, and testing – specifically in Plan to Manufacture SAP PP/QM processes. Multiple (over 4) SAP implementation full life‑cycle experience. Data migration experience. Project management and team leadership experience. Education and Certifications Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Skills Solid knowledge of system development methodology, project management, and system architecture, preferably involving SAP PP/QM implementation. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to evaluate IT and business challenges from a broad perspective. Excellent influencing and communication skills; ability to translate between non‑technical business users and technical IT resources. Strong client‑service attitude. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Languages English fluency mandatory.
