In Canada, the General Insurance business supports a high‑volume, high‑quality claim experience. Auto Claims Advisors help customers immediately after an automobile accident, ensuring support and efficient claim resolution. What You’ll Do Represent TD Insurance as an Auto Claims Advisor and facilitate and coordinate a claim from start to finish. Make an Impact Support customer claims from start to finish: arrange towing, set up appraisals, and explain coverage under policy terms. Gather, organize, and verify required information and documentation from all available sources to ensure a thorough claim file. Reconcile estimates from new and preferred vendors to reach appropriate settlements for vehicle damages. Contribute to team productivity objectives by maintaining a positive file count and open/close ratio. Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors such as Enterprise and repair shops, including TD Auto Centre partners and non‑preferred shops. Experience Growth Research coverage scenarios and apply this knowledge to customer claim files. Learn and demonstrate TD’s customer‑centric and strategic objectives while contributing to TD Insurance Group’s deliverables. Apply non‑biased and appropriate methods to achieve file resolution, resulting in fair and equitable claim settlements. Communicate clear claims processing requirements to customers while maintaining detailed claims notes and delivering timely progress updates. One or more years of claims adjusting experience is required; postsecondary education is an asset. Excellent customer service skills; dedicated to meeting or exceeding expectations of internal and external clients. Superior time‑management skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities. Proven ability to negotiate positive outcomes when reasonably possible. Demonstrated clear and professional written and verbal communication skills and active listening. Strong investigative skills; can analyze evidence, identify discrepancies or gaps in data and reports. Demonstrated support for company process improvements. Candidates actively pursuing their Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or other relevant continuing education are preferred. Provincial claims licensing may be required.
