We are currently seeking Senior Environmental Scientists/Engineers to join our Environmental Services team in Saskatchewan. Your role will be to work as a key member of our Prairies Environmental Services team, in a broad range of responsibilities relating to Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, soil and groundwater remediation programs, environmental spill response, and hydrogeological investigations.Your Key ResponsibilitiesManage a variety of projects, including client and regulator communications, deadline tracking, budget trackingProvide technical direction to field teams for the projects you are managingProvide mentorship and safety leadership to junior staffGuide and/or carry out data management, analysis and interpretation, report preparation, proposal preparation, and other general tasksReview technical reportsEvening and weekend work may be requiredTravel to remote communities via air or road may be required periodicallyYour Capabilities and CredentialsHighly organized and self-motivatedDemonstrated ability to work alone or as part of a teamShow initiative in integrating creativity and innovation in all work tasksDemonstrate knowledge of applicable provincial (particularly Saskatchewan) and federal environmental regulations and guidelinesExperience using environmental field equipment, GIS-related mobile data collection, reporting softwareExceptional oral and written communications skillsStrong attention to detailExcellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure and within short timelinesProficient with Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)Be conscientious, organized, and disciplinedValid driver’s licenseAbility to obtain federal reliability security clearanceEducation and ExperienceDegree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar discipline or Diploma in applicable environmental discipline. A minimum of 13 years of applicable experience in conducting field programs for environmental site assessment and/or remediation projects. Prior experience in an engineering or consulting environment is an asset.Working ConditionsThis position will involve a majority of office work, with some opportunity to go into the field, when warranted. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods. Fieldwork may include travel (road or air) and exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Evening and weekend work may be required.
