Description :CTRI is seeking trainers to facilitate workshops across Canada and the United States on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for part-time professionals who are willing to travel occasionally. The Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute (www.ctrinstitute.com) provides professional training and consulting services for individuals, communities and organizations affected or involved in working with issues of crisis, trauma, and mental health.Trainers will receive teaching materials, including a participant resource manual, a PowerPoint slide deck, a lesson plan, and all workshop support resources.Time requirementThe time commitment varies based on each trainer\'s availability and CTRI\'s needs. Initially trainers start training periodically and over time our busier trainers may train up to 6-8 days a month.QualificationsEducation : Graduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Family Therapy, etc.Membership in a professional association or governing body related to the counselling professionExceptional presentation skillsExperiential knowledge of workshop materialTrainer SuppliesTrainers provide their own LCD projector, computer, and audio speakers.Liability Insurance : Trainers are responsible to carry their own social work or professional liability insurance.Our Application ProcessStep 1 : Resume and ReferencesSubmit a resume with references, a cover letter outlining your professional and training background, and specifically which workshop you can facilitate.Step 2 : First InterviewSelected applicants will be invited to take part in a first interview to discuss their background, experience, and interest in training.Step 3 : Second Interview and PresentationSelected applicants will be invited to a second interview which will include a short presentation (10-15 minutes) on content related to their area of expertise.
