Volunteer Opportunity Details Location: Winnipeg – St. Vital Time Commitment: Evening, approximately 4 hours per month. Checks Required: Criminal record check – Yes; Child Abuse Registry Check – No. Opportunity Available To: General Populace. Description of Duties Alpha House Project is seeking passionate and committed volunteer board members to support our mission of empowering families impacted by family violence. Board members play a vital role in providing leadership, advocating for the organization in their communities, and helping secure the resources needed to advance our work. Board Member Expectations Attend monthly in-person board meetings (third Wednesday of each month). Commit to approximately 4 hours per month. Understand and support Alpha House's mission, programs, and financial goals. Participate on a committee or task force. Respect and elevate diverse voices and perspectives around the board table. Skills Required Believe in the power of strong board leadership. Bring experience in disciplines such as PR, fundraising, HR, finance, etc. along with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
