This is our #1 priorityo Is Passionate for custom, high-quality designs for mechanical and structural systems?o Has knowledge of steel fabrication, machine shop processes and mechanical system expertise (conveyors, processing equipment, etc.).o Understands manufacturing process systems and construction principles?o Is Passionate for learning, self-improvement, teamwork, and team development?o Is Quality focused?o Is Self-Motivated and Goals Driven?o Enjoys working as part of a team and maintains a positive attitude?o Is Trustworthy?o Seeks to innovate processes?o Has a Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Canada?Design Technologists are required to perform some or all the following duties:o Develop preliminary designs with the project management and design team.o Measure and document as-built site conditions.o Communicate designs to stakeholders through meetings and technical drawings.o Detail the designs in 3D CAD (Solidworks) and select OEM equipment to integrate with designs.o Drafting of parts and assemblies for fabrication.o Facilitate release of fabrication drawings to project management and shop operations.o Coordinate small and large aspects of projects.o Manage schedule to ensure jobs are completed on time.Desired Skills & Experience:o Diploma in Engineering Technology or Equivalento Minimum 1 year of industry experienceo Must have experience with 3D CAD software – Solidworks preferredo Understanding of manufacturing process systems and construction principleso Passion for learning, self-improvement, teamwork, and team developmento Knowledge of steel fabrication, machine shop processes and mechanical system expertise (conveyors, processing equipment, etc.).o Excellent oral and written communication skillsC&A Group will review each resume and contact potential candidates only for a phone interview.
