Irving group of companiesHybrid flexible work options (if applicable)ResponsibilitiesSalaried and Hourly RecruitmentReview business workforce plans to understand hiring needs and work with hiring managers to initiate the recruitment processDevelop and execute comprehensive recruitment marketing plans (including use of social and digital media marketing) to source qualified candidatesBuild and maintain a network of contacts to ensure a pipeline of talent is readily available to meet business needsAssist with the organization, planning and execution of career awareness events including co-op recruiting, career fairs, and post-secondary partnershipsEvaluate applicants using a variety of screening and assessment tools to identify qualified applicantsArrange interviews and testing as required, update applicant records, and ensure the applicant tracking system is always up to dateWork closely with hiring managers and HR partners to determine the “right fit” and make hiring recommendationsStudent RecruitmentWork with post-secondary institutions to fill co-op, summer, and intern positionsDevelop a robust student onboarding plan and check in process to monitor student progressWork with managers and HR to evaluate students for potential conversion opportunitiesContinuous ImprovementParticipate in business improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our recruitment processesCompile recruitment data (eg. time to fill), identify emerging recruitment trends, and prepare reports, as requiredQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field.3-5 years related experience in Human Resources and/or recruitmentExperience sourcing top talent using various recruitment channels including social media, resume mining, and networkingExperience with HRIS systems; Oracle HCM and Taleo preferredKnowledge of and experience with recruitment would be considered a strong assetKnowledge of sales skills and the ability/willingness to persuade others is a mustProcess thinking and the ability/experience to independently lead projects would be a strong assetCustomer focused individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsEnergetic self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced, team-oriented environmentAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to travel occasionallyAbout UsFounded in 1882, J.D.
