Join us.Your ImpactWe are seeking an experienced Salesforce Lead Developer with a strong focus on data migration to lead and deliver large‑scale Salesforce data initiatives. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end migration design, including data modeling, extraction, transformation, load (ETL), validation, and performance tuning for Salesforce org‑to‑org migrations or legacy system migrations.You will work closely with cross‑functional teams including data architects, integration specialists, business analysts, and Salesforce developers to ensure clean, secure, and seamless data transition.What The Role OffersData ExtractionExtract data from source systems (databases, files, legacy platforms, third‑party applications, Salesforce Org).Work with SQL, APIs, or connectors to pull raw data efficiently and accurately.Data TransformationDevelop transformation logic to align source data with Salesforce data models.Cleanse, deduplicate, and enrich data to ensure consistency and usability.Apply business rules for formatting, validation, and relationship mapping.Data LoadingLoad data into Salesforce using Salesforce Data Loader, Bulk API, Workbench, or third‑party ETL tools.Sequence object loads considering dependencies (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, etc.).Handle large data volumes using chunking and batch processing techniques.Testing & ValidationPerform data reconciliation to confirm accuracy post‑load.Conduct pre‑load and post‑load validations to ensure integrity.Support business users in data verification and user acceptance testing (UAT).Error Handling & OptimizationIdentify and resolve load failures, transformation errors, and data mismatches.Implement retry logic and log/audit mechanisms.Optimize performance of ETL processes.Documentation & SupportMaintain field mapping documents and transformation scripts.Document all steps of the migration process for auditing and repeatability.Support cutover activities and post‑migration support phases.What You Need To Succeed6+ years of experience in Salesforce platform development (Apex, SOQL, APIs)3+ years of hands‑on experience with large‑scale data migrationProficient in data modeling, data transformation logic, and Salesforce object relationshipsExperience with ETL tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Jitterbit, Talend, Informatica) and Salesforce APIsSolid understanding of Salesforce data limits, governor limits, and performance considerationsStrong understanding of data governance, PII handling, and data quality controlsFamiliarity with version control (Git), DevOps pipelines, and CI/CD processesExcellent problem‑solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and leadership capabilitiesPreferred QualificationsSalesforce Platform Developer I & II certificationsExperience with Salesforce, Big Objects, and bulk data APIsExperience with Salesforce org consolidations, carve‑outs, or M&A migrationsKnowledge of Agile and DevOps best practicesNice to HaveExperience with Python/SQL scripting for data prepKnowledge of Salesforce Metadata APIs and CLI toolsOpenText's efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
