Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on engineering co‑op student to join our Testing and Compliance team. In this role, you will support product development, validation testing, and root‑cause investigations for transit bus systems and components. Working closely with Engineers and Technologists across Engineering, Production, and Customer Service, you will gain practical experience in test planning, instrumentation, data collection, and technical reporting. Inclusive workplace culture that values and empowers team members. What You Will Do Perform customer compliance and product validation tests. Plan, coordinate, and conduct field and lab testing for engineering and customer service initiatives. Install and calibrate sensors, data loggers, and other test instrumentation. Collect, analyze, and report test data with accuracy and attention to detail. Support failure analysis and recommend corrective actions or design improvements. Maintain calibration of test equipment and ensure accurate test documentation. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including New Product Development, Production, and Quality. What You Need to Be Successful Currently enrolled in a recognized post‑secondary Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or Technology program and eligible for co‑op placement. Strong interest in product testing, data acquisition, and problem‑solving. Familiarity with sensors, transducers, and data logging systems is an asset. Excellent technical writing and documentation skills. Strong communication and organizational skills. Previous experience in a manufacturing or testing environment is an asset.
