OverviewProfessor - (Contract Faculty) Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance at Seneca Polytechnic is a part-time, contract teaching role within the School of Biological Sciences and Applied Chemistry for the Graduate Certificate - Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs & Quality Operations (RAQ).Campus and ScheduleCampus: Seneca@York. We welcome applications for part-time teaching opportunities. Course assignments are based on scheduling and instructional needs. Contract faculty typically teach up to 6 hours per week, with classes scheduled Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. Some courses may be offered online or in a hybrid format; on-campus availability is often preferred. Please include your availability when applying.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing academic leadership in the classroom and ensuring an effective and compelling learning environment for students.Ensure student awareness of course objectives, approach and evaluation techniques.Carry out regularly scheduled instruction, which may include tutoring and academic counselling of students.Provide a learning environment that makes effective use of available resources, work experience and field trips.Evaluate student progress/achievement and assume responsibility for the overall assessment of the student's work within assigned courses.QualificationsMinimum of a completed bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, life sciences or closely related discipline. Master’s or post-graduate certificate preferred.Minimum 3 years of professional experience in quality assurance or related areas (or other closely related experience).Designing, implementing, or improving Quality Management Systems (QMS) in compliance with Health Canada, FDA, and ICH guidelines.Leading or supporting risk management programs (e.g., ICH Q9, FMEA, HACCP) and validation activities (process, cleaning, equipment, or computerized systems).Audit and inspection leadership, including internal, supplier, and regulatory audits, and pre-inspection readiness planning.Deviation, OOS, and CAPA management, including root cause analysis and effectiveness checks.Change control, complaint handling, and recall processes.SkillsDemonstrated knowledge of and experience in training or teaching fundamentals of your area(s) of expertise.Excellent presentation and communication skills.Ability to interact effectively with the Polytechnic’s diverse staff and student population; understanding of and commitment to equity in education.Commitment to a team approach for problem solving and conflict resolution.Demonstrated research skills.Additional InformationNote: A teaching demonstration may be required during the recruitment process.Job Details: External Posting Date October 10, 2025; External Closing Date Posted Until Filled; Pay Range dependent on experience; Hours TBC; Work Type Flex Delivery in-person, online, hybrid and flexible; Shift TBC; Ideal Start Date 1/2/26; Number of Openings 1; Posting Intent Immediate Need; Job Type Part-Time, Temporary.Note: As part of our pre-employment process, we validate employment and education credentials at the time of an offer.
