Training / Safety Coordinator at Kent Building Supplies Job Description – The Training / Safety Coordinator supports the implementation of safety and training programs to ensure employees are well-prepared, compliant with safety standards, and contribute to Kent’s Safety Management System. Responsibilities Develop and deliver safety training programs (in-person, e‑learning, hands‑on). Ensure all staff adhere to safety protocols, company policies and regulatory standards. Maintain training and safety documentation, conduct audits and record minutes of JHSC meetings. Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with managers to identify training needs, gaps and communicate opportunities. Monitor training effectiveness, track employee progress and strive for 100% completion of programs. Promote a strong safety culture, investigate incidents, near‑misses and determine root causes. Continuously expand knowledge of HR and safety to provide store support. Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills. Leadership ability without direct authority. Organized, agile, and capable of handling multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Self‑starter with problem‑solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. What We Offer A safe work environment. Wellness program.
