Position SummaryWe are currently recruiting for a Senior Liability Adjuster to join our team in Canada. The position location is flexible, and we can offer in-office, hybrid or fully remote working arrangements.The successful candidate investigates, evaluates, negotiates, and settles claims by telephone, correspondence and when required through mediation (virtual or in person) and correspondence. Settling losses within delegated authority or reporting to clients while also directing field adjusters, experts and legal counsel on a task basis.ResponsibilitiesInvestigation, collection, and analysis of claims informationAccurate recording, reporting and presentation of filesEvaluates coverage, liability and quantumMaintenance of accurate billing, and time and expense recordsNegotiates, settles, and finalizes claimsWork with manager to maintain client relationsRequirementsMinimum 6 years of technical claims handling experience in commercial auto and property claims handlingCommercial liability claims experience is required.Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field will be considered an assetExperience in multiline claims, complex claim handling, legal proceedings and litigation managementCIP designation or working towards CIP designation is requiredIndependent Adjuster Licensed with ability to maintain a full adjusting license in your home province. Multiple provincial licenses is preferred.Strong computer and reporting skills including Office 365 and Windows 10A team player with outstanding customer service skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and mathematical abilityAble to manage multiple prioritiesStrong PC skills including application-based skillsComplete continuing education courses as required by Crawford and Company, province, or professional trade associationAdditional InformationWe thank all applicants for their interest in Crawford & Company; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Crawford is an Employment Equity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
