Level Up Wellness Group is a growing, multi-disciplinary clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive, whole-person healthcare across the lifespan. Our team comprises Nurse Practitioners, Registered Psychologists, Counsellors, and Occupational Therapists who collaborate actively to address the root causes of illness, employing a functional medicine, systems-based approach to achieve personalized and lasting wellness for our clients. We are out-of-the-box thinkers and work in niche areas. This is a part-time contract position for an on-site Family Nurse Practitioner role located in Beaumont, AB. The Family Nurse Practitioner will provide primary services to clients, addressing their physical and mental health needs. Day-to-day tasks include conducting assessments, diagnosing and treating conditions, and managing ongoing health issues. The role requires a compassionate approach to patient care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for clients. Key Responsibilities Specialized Clinical Care: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in: Hormone Health: Management of hormonal imbalances across the lifespan, including Women’s Health (PCOS, PMS, peri/menopause) and Male Hormone Health. Experience with BHRT or advanced training is highly valued. Mental Health/Psychiatric Medicine: Comprehensive assessment and ongoing management of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and other psychiatric needs, in collaboration with our in-house therapy team. Functional & Integrated Practice: Utilize a patient-centered, functional medicine perspective to investigate the root causes of illness, considering the interplay of genetics, environment, and lifestyle. Collaborative Team Approach: Actively consult and collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team (Psychologists, Counsellors, Occupational Therapists, Naturopaths (coming soon) and other NPs) to co-manage complex cases and align treatment plans for maximum client benefit. Practice Development: Initiate and lead the development of a clinical focus area that aligns with our evolution into a holistic team-based practice. Desired Areas of Passion and Growth Chronic Pain Management: Employing an integrative approach to managing complex chronic pain, including non-pharmacological and advanced medical strategies. Complex Chronic Illness/Functional Gut Health: Expertise in conditions like chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, or advanced gut-brain axis disturbances. 2SLGBTQIA+ Care/Gender-Affirming Care: Providing comprehensive, affirming primary and specialized care for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Qualifications and Experience Required: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nursing (or equivalent) from an accredited program. Required: Current, unrestricted licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with eligibility for licensing in other provinces as we expand. Essential Subspecialty 1: Hormone Health – documented advanced training, certification, or significant clinical experience in medical hormone management (male/female/trans health). Essential Subspecialty 2: Mental Health – demonstrated expertise in psychiatric assessment, psychotropic medication management, and collaborative mental healthcare (e.g., Post-Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing or significant clinical focus). Highly Preferred: Experience and strong alignment with Functional or Integrative Medicine principles. Exceptional collaboration, communication, and client-centered care skills. Why Level Up?
