Sr. Technical Recruiter @ NLB Services | MBA in HR Management We are seeking a highly skilled Back-End Lead to join our team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in back-end development, building APIs, web applications, and services, and possess strong proficiency in Java and Python. This role involves collaborating closely with business, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions for financial services applications. Knowledge of corporate/commercial lending platforms such as ACBS or AFS is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of back-end services, APIs, and web applications. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java and Python. Collaborate with front-end developers, QA, and business teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Participate in system architecture discussions and provide technical guidance to team members. Implement best practices for code versioning, collaboration, and CI/CD using GitHub. Work in an Agile environment, managing tasks and documentation via Jira and Confluence. Support integration with third-party platforms and legacy banking systems. Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of developed services. Optional: Leverage knowledge of ACBS, AFS, or other corporate/commercial lending systems to enhance banking applications. Required Skills & Qualifications 7–10 years of hands‑on experience in back‑end development for enterprise applications. Strong programming experience in Java and Python. Experience designing and building APIs, web services, and scalable back‑end systems. Proficiency with GitHub for version control and collaboration. Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence for project tracking and documentation. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with corporate/commercial lending platforms such as ACBS, AFS, or LoanIQ. Knowledge of database systems and SQL for service integration. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
