Doane Grant Thornton is looking for a Senior Specialist, Debt Solutions. The position is based in Waterloo, Ontario, with possibilities for alternate locations in Hamilton and London.As a Senior Specialist, Debt Solutions your responsibilities will include:Assisting the firm in the development and growth of its existing insolvency practice in your community and surrounding areasKnowledge and ability to assist in the training of colleaguesSeek opportunities for efficiencies, or streamlining of processes to ensure better debtor and stakeholder experiencesShowing an awareness of our Be, Grow, Think attributes through actions, behaviors and approach with the team and stakeholdersResponding promptly to initial contact from debtors by telephone, email, etc.Conducting initial interviews and meetings with debtors, including doing the sign upsTimely follow up on potential debtorsInput debtor documentation and workbook into firm software and prepare sign up documentsReview files for comparison and appropriatenessEnsure full compliance with the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and directives in the delivery of serviceBuilding positive working relationships with debtors, referral sources, the Office of Superintendent (OSB) and all other stakeholdersAssess clients’ budget plans and financial goalsDeliver an excellent and empathetic experience for the clientsCommunicating with clients, creditors and other third partiesMonitor the status and progress of debt relief options and filingsReview applications and inputting data into our computer systemOther specialised requirements based on your role within the Debt Solutions teamHere's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in the Insolvency industry dealing directly with debtors, creditors, and industry stakeholdersCollege diploma in Business Administration or a related field preferredExceptional interpersonal skills to relate with clients and liaise with team membersAbility to be an articulate and versatile communicator, both written and verbalHigh computer literacy including the ability to learn new programs and previous experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)Excellent time management and organizational skillsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to work independentlyFurther information and application instructions can be found HERE . #J-18808-Ljbffr
