Large general contractor is seeking experienced Design Manager to focus on major design build healthcare projects ($150m+) in Vancouver BC, Kamloops BC, Toronto ON and Edmonton AB. You’re a Design Manager with 8-10 years of experience with a proven track record for meeting scope requirements and milestones. Salary range is $130,000 – $180,000. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role.Responsibilities of Design ManagerManagement of the development of ourdesignbuildproposals for P3 and otherdesignbuildprojectsManagement of the design team in developing compliant and aggressive design solutions in response to RFP requirementsAnalysis of project requirements and development of a strategy focused on the winning the opportunityDevelopment of submissions and presentations for RFP periodCollaborative meeting process in conjunction with the design team review and assessment of all RFP documentation and requirementsDevelopment and coordination of documentation of the proposeddesignto support estimating the project costDevelopment of technical submission includingdesignand construction narratives and drawing packageDevelopment of project schedule and project logistic plans based on requirements and proposeddesignin coordination with the proposed project execution teamOngoing development of relationships with partner consultants anddesignbuildtrade contractorsWork collaboratively in a team environment with our mechanical and electricaldesignmanagers, project estimators, capital development director, marketing team, legal team, and facility management teamEducation & Experience of Design ManagerYou have a construction related degree and eight to ten years of Design Build Management experienceYou have a working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management and contract softwareYou have the ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relationshipsYou have experience in design build/construction management delivery models/contractsYou have experience in Acute Healthcare Renovations/New BuildsExcellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills requiredBenefits:Unique career opportunity within a progressive environment with continuous learning and opportunity for growth, as well as a competitive compensation package.Ideal Candidate:Must have vehicle and valid driver’s licenseOnly candidates with authorisation to work in Canada will be considered.Please clearly highlight relevant work experience, project overviews and project scale ($) in your resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr
