PositionApplications are invited for the position of Associate Dean, Health Sciences, located at the Welland Campus. The salary range is $125,153 to $156,441 for a 35‑hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.OverviewReporting to the Dean of Health Sciences, the successful candidate works collaboratively with a high‑performance divisional team to lead in the development, delivery and ongoing review of full‑time and part‑time post‑secondary programs and services in the department. The Associate Dean will ensure that the programs are effectively delivered, meeting ministry, accreditation standards, and are relevant to the needs of college students.ResponsibilitiesOversee a diverse portfolio of online and in‑person health programs that constitute the School of Allied Health, including accreditation and compliance with industry regulations.Plan and implement the academic delivery of School of Allied Health courses and programs within budget and enrollment forecasts.Develop and renew curriculum, hire and develop faculty, and manage workload assignments.Supervise faculty and staff to ensure effective course delivery and student success.Resolve academic integrity cases, address student issues, attend community and college recruitment events, and serve on college‑wide committees.Required QualificationsMaster’s degree in a relevant field of study.A regulated health professional.Minimum nine years combined experience including academic leadership, management, industry experience, and at least five years of successful post‑secondary teaching.Demonstrated experience with program accreditation.Experience supervising staff in a unionized environment.Experience working with diverse student populations.Proven ability to move ideas from conceptual to operational.Experience developing student‑centered programs and supports.Advanced leadership, team‑building, collaboration, and networking skills.Superior skills in communication, organization, problem‑solving/conflict resolution, and prioritization.Preferred QualificationsAcademic planning, enrollment management, and budget experience.Experience with program or curriculum design and development in a post‑secondary adult environment.What We OfferDefined benefit pension plan (CAAT) with contributions matched by Niagara College.93% top‑up of maternity and parental leave pay for 52 weeks.Generous vacation time.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and paramedical services (massage therapy, acupuncture, naturopathy, psychotherapy, and psychology).Short‑term and long‑term disability.Access to Employee Family Assistance Program, including counseling services, financial literacy services, nutrition advice, and more.Employee tuition assistance and dependent tuition subsidy.Hybrid work arrangements: a balance of on‑campus and remote work.This position requires primarily on‑campus work.Diversity & InclusionNiagara College is strongly committed to diversity and inclusion within its community and welcomes applicants from all qualified individuals.
