Hays is proud to be partnering with a leading property management firm to hire a skilled Building Operator to support a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties across the GTA. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and experienced professional to contribute to the smooth operation and maintenance of high-performing assets. Responsibilities: Monitor property conditions and report cleanliness, maintenance, and tenant-related issues. Assist the Operations/Property Manager with procurement and vendor coordination. Maintain building systems including HVAC, inventory, and mechanical equipment. Execute tenant work orders within 24 hours and ensure satisfaction. Conduct monthly preventive maintenance and inspections. Support property and construction inspections for both tenant and landlord work. Participate in the on-call rotation and provide support across multiple sites as needed. Ensure compliance with service contracts, building codes, fire codes, WHMIS, and safety regulations. Complete vacant unit inspections, utility meter readings, and life safety protocols. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years’ experience in real estate operations. Building Environmental Systems Diploma (1 & 2) or 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate preferred. Proficiency in Building Automation Systems and pneumatic controls. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with excellent planning and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to high-quality service delivery.
