As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses and individuals in navigating a dynamic social, political and economic environment.You’ll work closely with community partners to co-create solutions that reflect Indigenous values, priorities, and long-term goals. This is a dynamic opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a meaningful, community-driven context.ResponsibilitiesLead economic development initiatives with Indigenous communities, including feasibility studies, business planning, and funding strategiesDevelop and interpret financial models to support capital planning, infrastructure investment, and long-term sustainabilityIdentify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and developSupport proposal development, client engagement, and business development activitiesMaintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client’s businessNetwork in the local business community, consider business development opportunitiesMentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal developmentMaintain flexibility to travel, as necessaryQualifications7+ years of experience in economic development, finance/accounting, financial modeling, or consultingDegree in Business, Economics, Finance, Indigenous Studies, or a related fieldCPA, CFA, and strong financial acumen considered an assetExperience working with Indigenous communities or organizationDemonstration of advanced project management skills and tacticsProven people management, relationship building and leadership skillsMyRewards@MNPWith a focus on high-potential earnings, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office.
