This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to build and lead internal quality assurance initiatives while gaining exposure across a wide range of business areas. It’s ideal for a compliance professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and contribute to an evolving, collaborative function.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead an internal compliance quality assurance (QA) review program across various business units (e.g., underwriting, claims, IT, accounting)Conduct spot checks and compliance assessments; identify risks and recommend enhancementsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to monitor compliance with industry regulations and internal policiesSupport the ongoing development and administration of the Compliance Management SystemAssist in managing responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and investigationsMentor junior compliance team members and contribute to departmental knowledge-sharingHelp implement and maintain policies and procedures that support compliance initiativesParticipate in licensing oversight and ensure distribution practices meet regulatory standardsAbout You3–7 years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or internal audit, preferably within the property & casualty or broader insurance industrySolid understanding of the insurance regulatory environment in CanadaStrong communication and relationship-building skills to work across departments and levelsComfortable taking initiative and building out new processes from the ground upExperience with licensing, privacy, anti-money laundering, or complaint handling is an assetExposure to Compliance Management Systems (e.g., Ethidex or equivalent) is beneficialWhy JoinPlay a key role in shaping a new compliance initiative with organization-wide impactWork in a collaborative and flexible environment with hybrid scheduling (Tues–Thurs in office)Gain exposure to a broad range of compliance areas rather than being siloed in one functionDGA Careers has been proudly serving the Canadian insurance industry for over 30 years, specializing in providing insurance recruiting services to major insurers, insurance brokerage firms and independent adjusting firms.
