You will lead a talented accounting team, ensure accuracy across all reporting, and drive continuous improvement through system optimization and strategic insights.You’ll report directly to the CEO, acting as a trusted partner in decision-making and long-term planning.What You Will DoLead all accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, ASPE, and IFRSManage full-cycle accounting, including inventory, cost of revenue, AR/AP, payroll, and treasuryOversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesDevelop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecastsPerform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to support business goalsStrengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. tax and audit requirementsAnalyze trends, metrics, and KPIs to guide strategic planning and risk managementSupervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering growth and accountabilityDrive ERP and process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial visibilityManage cash flow, credit facilities, and banking relationshipsSupport leadership with financial modeling, scenario planning, and investment analysisWhat You BringCPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) — required7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial leadershipProven success managing multi-jurisdictional (Canada/U.S.) operationsStrong knowledge of GAAP (U.S. & Canadian), ASPE, and/or IFRSExperience with manufacturing, inventory, and cost accountingExpertise in tax reporting, audit management, and treasury operationsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial reporting systemsExceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication abilityLeadership experience developing high-performing teamsValid passportWork EnvironmentThis position is based on-site in Calgary, Alberta, in an office setting.
