Job Description Position Title: Associate Territory Manager Department: Sales Position Reports to: District Sales Manager Position Summary A support position with the end result of being a Territory Manager. This is considered a temporary position to gain the knowledge, habits and strengths of a TM and perform the duties as assigned. An Associate Territory Manager (ATM) will support in seasonal periods, at times of growth in a specific area, and to improve bench strength. Key Responsibilities Present, promote and sell products using our Sales Platform to existing and prospective customers Performing cost‑benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs with in‑house CRM solution programming Assist in the coverage of TMs for vacation days by servicing those customers on the road Work with CATMAN and TM for conversions and sampling Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction and coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments Work with vendors and specialists throughout the districts Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends through feedback to ensure continuous improvement Required Qualifications Previous experience in a similar position (sales) preferred with special consideration for restaurant managers with product knowledge Previous experience or acquired knowledge in the food industry preferred Strong demonstration of time‑management and organizational skills required Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills toward building relationships required Ability to work independently and tenaciously to collect an exchange of payment Ability to demonstrate excellent computer skills using MS Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong ability to demonstrate marketing skills Open to growth opportunities and willingness to learn Strong decision‑making skills required Post‑secondary education preferred Unique Requirements Must be able to build relationships with different departments, customers, purchasing, and credit Desire to gain the knowledge, habits and strengths of a Territory Manager for future prospects Being able to demonstrate and decide the suitability of product lines that will be the best for Flanagan and various customers Must visit prospects weekly until business is achieved, and have the sales “Hunter” attitude Be Part of the Legacy All employees of Flanagan Foodservice must demonstrate adherence to all Health & Safety and Food Safety practices as well as all Company’s policies and procedures.
