INTERIOR DESIGN TECHNOLOGIST

Job Summary:The Senior Interior Design Technologist will play a vital role in providing technical support to interior designers, ensuring the accurate and efficient implementation of interior design concepts for healthcare facilities.This position requires expertise in interior design technology, building systems, and coordination with other design disciplines.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with interior designers to develop technical implementation of interior design conceptsPrepare detailed interior design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and millwork detailsAssist in the selection and specification of interior finishes, materials, and furniture suitable for healthcare environmentsCoordinate with architects, engineers, and other design disciplines to integrate interior design solutions seamlesslyEnsure that interior design projects comply with building codes, regulations, and industry standardsProvide expertise in the use of design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative SuiteConduct site visits to review construction progress and verify adherence to design intentCollaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source interior design products and materialsAssist in the preparation of construction documents and detailing for interior design elementsReview and evaluate shop drawings and submittals related to interior design componentsStay informed about industry trends, new interior design technologies, and sustainable design practicesMentor and provide guidance to junior interior design technologistsQualifications:Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design Technology or a related field5+ years of experience as an Interior Design Technologist, preferably in healthcare projectsStrong proficiency in using design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative SuiteDemonstrated experience in producing detailed interior design drawings and construction documentsKnowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to healthcare facilitiesFamiliarity with interior design products, finishes, and materials suitable for healthcare environmentsUnderstanding of construction processes and ability to coordinate with other design disciplinesExcellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlinesDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in technical drawingsStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with design teamsAbility to problem-solve and find solutions to technical challengesFamiliarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and 3D visualization tools is advantageousInternal Job Code: ID-IT-04Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 / AnnuallySeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionDesign, Art/Creative, and Information TechnologyIndustriesInternet Publishing #J-18808-Ljbffr
