We are seeking a skilled Senior Performance Test Specialist to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing performance testing plans, configuring performance testing tools and environments, and collaborating with clients to deliver high‑quality testing solutions. Responsibilities Design and conduct large‑scale performance tests with tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, and NeoLoad Participate in the testing and optimization of software performance, working as a consultant to support teams of IT architects, infrastructure system admins, development and service center staff to ensure that IT systems deliver reliable applications Work closely with project stakeholders to identify and define performance thresholds and SLAs Support delivery through the creation, maintenance, and execution of performance test plans Analyze and interpret results to help identify and isolate issues and propose solutions Build knowledge of industry‑leading tools and practices in performance testing and disseminate knowledge through mentorship and training Proactively resolve complex technical issues and demonstrate innovative thinking by recommending new approaches to technical work and broader issue resolution through continual quality assurance, system environment monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, and capacity planning Qualifications Computer Science degree or equivalent 7+ years of hands‑on performance testing experience Demonstrated experience designing, creating, and conducting large‑scale performance tests with industry‑standard tools such as LoadRunner (may require usage of other tools) Experience building performance automation solutions with tools such as JMeter, LoadUI, NeoLoad, etc. is an asset Test automation experience is considered an asset Flexible and self‑motivated, balancing various priorities and ensuring delivery from kickoff to completion Always interested in learning new tools, technologies, and processes to keep up with evolving client needs Experience with run‑time analysis and code optimization is an asset Highly effective communicator in both oral and written forms; can lead discussions and convey messages with appropriate tone and design/writing of technical documents Ability to troubleshoot and perform detailed analysis of results to help identify performance‑related issues About PLATO PLATO is a software testing and technology services company trusted by clients around the world.
