If you’re looking to have the authority and support to shape safety programs, mentor crews, and ensure everyone goes home safe, apply today Responsibilities Lead the Health & Safety Program across projects, ensuring WorkSafeBC, COR, and company compliance Act as primary contact for safety matters and maintain oversight of Salus safety management system Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations Develop and maintain Project‑Specific Safety Plans (PSSPs) and all required documentation Deliver safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks for employees and subcontractors Chair the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee, promoting communication and safety culture Support injury management and return‑to‑work programs in coordination with WCB and HR Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety planning and risk management Requirements Minimum 2 years of HSE management experience (civil construction focus; no CSO experience) CRSP is an asset; NCSO is ideal Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations and COR requirements Experience with safety program development, training, risk assessment, and incident investigation Proficient in Salus or similar platforms Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract and ability to travel to sites For more current job opportunities, Follow MatchBox at linkedin.com/company/matchbox-recruitment/ About MatchBox Headquartered in downtown Vancouver and serving clients nationally, MatchBox is one of the leading recruitment and solutions firms that specializes in the fields of IT & Technology, Engineering & Technical, Real Estate & Construction, and Accounting & Finance.
