This position reports to Financial Controller will work in Vancouver, BC.Vancouver: Dometic Marine’s headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.As Junior Financial Analyst on the Vancouver team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing month-end close activities, and preparing accurate financial and management reports. In addition, you will support budgeting, audits, tax filings, and financial analysis initiatives, while driving process improvements and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights that support business decisions.General ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with GAAP, IFRS and internal standard operating proceduresAssist with weekly sales forecast activitiesExecute a variety of month-end/year-end duties, including generating and posting journal entries, analyzing financial statements, preparing intercompany billing, reconciling B/S accounts within established time framesPrepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, management reports and performance dashboardsParticipate in and support various department projects, including budgeting/forecasting, internal/external audits, monthly commodity tax returns, annual tax filings (including SRED) and efficiency improvement initiativesAssist in Government Audits (g., sales tax, corporate tax)Manage accounting for capital assetsDevelop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support budgeting and forecastingCollaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business trends and deliver actionable insightsConduct variance analysis and explain key drivers of business performanceRespond to information requests from Parent Company (Corporate)Prepare and file Statistics Canada reportsSupport strategic initiatives and ad-hoc financial analysis as neededServe as backup for payroll processingWhat do we offer?Medical/Dental/Vision InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Disability insurance (STD/LTD)Retirement Programs (RSP and Company Pension Plan)Paid VacationStatutory HolidaysFree on-site parkingTuition and Professional Designation dues assistanceEmployee discounts on our incredible productsCompany eventsOpportunities to make an impactSkills & RequirementsCompleted or currently pursuing a degree in accounting or related disciplineManufacturing accounting experience is requiredSolid understanding of GAAP, IFRS and audit requirementsTwo+ years of progressive experience in accounting and FP&A rolesIntermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Power BIDemonstrated experience optimizing finance process and implementing improvementsExperience with capital asset management, internal controls, and budgeting processesFamiliarity with ERP/accounting systems in a manufacturing environmentExperience with corporate tax filings and payroll processing is an assetDometic’s Core ValuesTo thrive and succeed in this role, you understand the importance of our core values – Together We build our future, We play to win, We embrace change, and We walk the talk; these values reflect the heart and soul of Dometic, and they define what it takes to work here and how we do things.Dometic is passionate about building together an inclusive and equitable working environment, that respects individual strengths, views, and experiences.
