Our operations are supported by a team of skilled engineers, technicians, and industry professionals who are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of craftsmanship and innovation.We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Procurement Manager to serve as the internal supply chain point of contact and will lead all procurement activities while driving continuous improvements in supply chain performance. This position is designed for a strategic thinker who excels in operational sourcing, risk management, and team leadership within a lean, performance-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain ManagementDevelop and execute supply chain strategies that support long-term profitable programs.Oversee procurement functions including sourcing, RFQs, order placement, expediting, and resolution of supplier issues.Act as an escalation point for resolving complex supplier challenges and contractual issues.Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet business needs while optimizing BOM costs.Team Leadership & Organizational DevelopmentBuild, develop, and nurture a high-performance procurement team.Mentor and coach team members to maximize potential and drive continuous improvement.Promote lean customer service behaviors and enforce standard work practices across the team.Operational Sourcing & PurchasingIdentify and qualify suppliers in alignment with strategic sourcing initiatives.Manage purchase order creation, supplier set-up, and adherence to contractual terms.Ensure procurement activities meet internal policies and business objectives.Inventory Management & Procurement OptimizationMonitor inventory levels to align with corporate objectives while minimizing excess working capital.Optimize procurement processes to reduce administrative and management costs.Implement lean methodologies such as 5S, visual management tools, and Kanban systems.Develop and maintain robust supply chain metrics and scorecards.Champion change management initiatives to improve overall performance.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience:Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.Demonstrated leadership in managing procurement teams and driving process improvements.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Proficiency in lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.Certifications: Relevant procurement or supply chain certifications are an asset.Other: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a strong commitment to achieving operational targets.At De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (DHC), we are committed to protecting our people, customers, shareholders and the public through Health & Safety Excellence.
