Join our team as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician and become an integral part of a dynamic at Discovery. We offer a stimulating work environment, competitive compensation, opportunities for growth and advancement, and a relocation bonus of $7,500 for candidates relocating more than 80 km. Responsibilities Diagnostic Expertise: Utilize your advanced knowledge of heavy‑duty equipment to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a timely and efficient manner. Maintenance and Repairs: Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a diverse range of heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledge‑sharing work environment. Technical Analysis: Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements, modifications, or upgrades to enhance productivity, safety, and efficiency. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, policies, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used, ensuring a thorough and organized documentation process. Training and Education Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy‑duty equipment maintenance and repair Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) required Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
