Join a locally owned and operated store to help deliver health, beauty and convenience services in your community, and keep the customer at the centre of everything you do.Why this role is important?Retail Supervisor and/or Management is an assetSUMMARY:To assist the Front Store Manager (FSM) in managing the human, physical and financial resources of the store and in ensuring that store objectives are achieved by focusing on improving product flow from the backroom to the sales floor.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:OPERATIONS:Maintains Store Standards to optimize customer experience, drive customer traffic, and positively impact store profitabilityWorks with Management Team to ensure Store Standards are in effect 100% of the time, including the backroomTo help manage in conjunction with the FSM, labour scheduling and leverages Work Force Management (WFM) to maximize labour productivityEnsures staffing levels are adequate to effectively operate the businessHUMAN RESOURCES:Complies with Human Resources StandardsTo help with hiring in conjunction with the FSM, Hires and/or supports hiring for all departments, excluding PharmacyMaintains wage administration within SLPH guidelinesDrives Blue Culture, engagement, and leads and motivates staff through leading by our Core ValuesQUALIFICATIONS:Planning, Judgement and Decision MakingPlanning and preparation for Inventory ManagementUse judgment and decision-making skills to control expensesProvides effective leadership and ongoing mentorship and ensures development of all staffEfficient time management skillsAble to prioritize activities quickly in response to changing initiativesEffective organization and planning skillsEXPERIENCE:Previous retail management experienceDemonstrated ability to drive the business, led by example and support corporate programsWorks effectively with management teamSuperior interpersonal, coaching and communication skillsBusiness and financial acumenRelationship builder with key internal and external agenciesWhy work in a Shoppers Drug Mart store?Each store has an Associate-Owner, so you will work for a local business owner while having the support of a national brand.
