This competition is open only to PAGC First Nation Members and permanent employees of the Prince Albert Grand Council. The Prince Albert Grand Council is now accepting applications for the position of a Community Traffic Safety Coordinator. Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Prince Albert Grand Council Urban Services Director and under the direct supervision of the Rural Coordinator, the Community Traffic Safety Coordinator carries out Education Programming, Training and presentations to PAGC First Nations at the community level. Duties: Conducts Presentations to school classes and community in regards to Traffic Safety, Impaired Driving, Seatbelt/Child Restraint promotions, ATV and Snowmobile Safety, Bicycle Safety and other programs designed to improve safety in our First Nation Communities. Establishing and monitoring community service Programs. Networking with all agencies to keep program up to date, e.g. SGI, RCMP, Schools and local Justice Workers. Qualifications: Grade 12 Education. Ability to work effectively within a team approach. Strong commitment to Traffic Safety & Safe Communities. Valid class 5 driver’s license. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to travel to PAGC communities which may require overnight stays as needed.
