Job Title Interventional Radiologist Work Site 899 West 12th Avenue Vancouver, BC Status Full-Time Start Date October 1, 2025 Compensation Fee-for-Service (FFS) Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) seeks a full-time Interventional Radiologist to join a dynamic group of 34 academic Radiologists providing general and subspecialty diagnostic and interventional radiological services to the Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) and the University of British Columbia (UBC) Hospital. All applicants must hold an MD degree (or equivalent), have completed Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology (IR), be eligible for licensure in British Columbia, and be currently certified or eligible for Royal College certification. The successful applicant will be located at VGH and UBC Hospitals. We are seeking an academically oriented Interventional Radiologist with a strong interest and experience in research and teaching. Clinical work involves full participation in a large dynamic interventional radiology service with a broad spectrum of procedures including all visceral, central and peripheral arterial and venous interventions, as well as gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, hepatobiliary and genitourinary interventions. The service is also based on a strong clinical foundation with the successful applicant expected to fully participate in patient consultation and pre‑ and post‑procedure management in an IR clinic environment in collaboration with a supportive allied health care team. Fellowship training and significant relevant clinical experience are required in interventional oncology including chemoembolization, radioembolization, visceral thermal ablation and complex biopsy; central and peripheral venous diagnostic and reconstructive procedures including thrombolysis and thrombectomy, pulmonary thrombolysis and thrombectomy, peripheral and visceral arterial intervention; TEVAR and other aortic interventions; and reproductive interventions including gonadal vein embolization and Fallopian tube cannulation. The successful candidate must also possess knowledge and experience in vascular anomalies and may perform pain management and spinal injection procedures. Experience in complex musculoskeletal interventions is highly desirable. The role includes vascular CT, MR, and US imaging in a quaternary care and Level 1 Trauma Centre setting.
