Associate Analyst, Commercial Asset Management Reporting To: Associate Director and Team Lead, Commercial Asset Management Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Location: Downtown Toronto, 6.3 Office, Canada Full‑time What We Offer: Competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, benefits, and career advancement opportunities. The Opportunity: Manage a portfolio of commercial loans ensuring compliance with commitment letter terms and responding to borrower requests consistent with terms or investor approvals. Key Responsibilities Obtain and review financial information (rent rolls, operating statements, financial/net worth statements) to verify loan criteria with no material adverse changes. Proactively manage assigned mortgage portfolio and ensure all required conditions for commercial mortgages are met to the satisfaction of investors and CMHC. Apply knowledge of commercial lending, underwriting, core documents and mortgage products (document management, payment processing, statements, holdbacks, insurance, annual financial reviews). Review property insurance renewals, CMHC undertakings, holdbacks, insurance claims and advise Senior Management. Adhere to policies, procedures, service levels, compliance, and AML requirements. Respond to inquiries from borrowers, investors, consultants, and solicitors as per servicing and policy standards. Coordinate with solicitors to obtain and review final documentation, update mortgage system, ensure mortgage security is valid and legally binding. Apply problem‑solving skills to resolve issues and meet service standards. Maintain excellent time management, handle high volumes, prioritize tasks, and multi‑task effectively. Recommend and implement process improvements to build efficiencies. Complete special projects as assigned by management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field (preferred). Post‑secondary education and/or equivalent work experience (preferred). 2–3 years of experience in financial services, mortgages, preferably commercial mortgages. Working Environment & Physical Demands Office environment; high volume periods with tight timelines. Long periods of stationary positioning, repetitive movements, prolonged computer usage.
