HGA Integrated Financial Services Division ("HGA IFS") offers an all‑inclusive accounting, bookkeeping, and financial management solution overseen by a team of CPA‑designated professionals. The division centers around five key pillars: accounting and bookkeeping support; financial reporting and tax compliance; fractional CFO/controller services; accounting system integration and data analytics; and general business advisory and process reviews. HGA IFS provides clients with customized and well‑maintained accounting solutions that help them manage financial performance and make data‑driven decisions. Opportunity HGA IFS is currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to work closely with clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have deep financial management knowledge, regulatory compliance expertise, and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Key Duties & Responsibilities Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations for a diverse client portfolio Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to optimize financial performance Create and implement financial policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting regulations Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting Collate and analyze financial data to deliver forecasts, projections, and budget plans Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor Monitor cash flow, manage accounts payable and receivable, and maintain accurate financial records Stay updated on accounting standards and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and best practices Provide guidance and coaching to team members and support their professional development Qualifications Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role, preferably in a professional services environment, for a minimum of 3 years 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience CPA designation Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks suite) and an openness to learn new ERP systems Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills Detail‑oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a focus on data integrity Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to clients and stakeholders Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Employment Details Mid‑Senior level – Full‑time – Accounting/Auditing and Finance – Edmonton, Alberta, Canada – Salary: CA$75,000–CA$100,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
