Our client is a leading company in the industrial solutions sector. They are seeking a full‑time Field Sales Engineer to manage and grow a portfolio of B2B customers within a defined territory in Quebec City, Quebec. This is a field‑based sales role focused on driving business growth, building strong customer relationships, and delivering consultative technical solutions through on‑site visits. The position requires working from a home office, some time spent in the company office, and spending most of the time on the road visiting customers. Responsibilities Managing a portfolio of industrial customers within the Quebec City region, with a strong focus on relationship‑building, business development, and account growth. Conducting regular on‑site customer visits face‑to‑face to uncover new opportunities and promote solutions that deliver superior value. Using a consultative selling approach to identify customer needs and propose technical solutions that improve efficiency and sustainability. Developing and executing territory, account, and call plans aligned with business development objectives. Managing the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing. Maintaining accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and opportunity pipeline data. Collaborating with internal teams (Projects, Technical, Service, Business Development) to ensure successful solution delivery. Preparing and delivering technical presentations and reports to customers. Ensuring compliance with company values, safety standards, and legal requirements. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience in a technical or commercial role. Recognized technical or business qualification, or equivalent experience in a similar industry. Engineering degree or diploma preferred. French and English bilingualism required. Strong consultative selling skills and ability to manage customer portfolios. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently from a home office and travel extensively within the territory. Must have a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and a clean driver’s abstract. Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office. Summit Search Group is a fair and equitable search firm.
