If you think you have what it takes to join our team, we want to meet youPosition DetailsPosition: Full Time Security OfficerSite: Western Memorial Regional Hospital & surrounding areaOvertime: Overtime after 48 hoursHours: Continental RotationPayrate: $19.90/hourPosting Date: November 19th, 2025Internal Closing Date: December 5th, 2025External Closing Date: December 5th, 2025ScheduleWeek 1 – Days: Mon-Tues, Fri-SatWeek 2 – Days: Sun, Wed-ThuWeek 3 – Nights: Mon-Tues, Fri-SatWeek 4 – Nights: Sun, Wed-ThuKey ResponsibilitiesPatrol Hospital Grounds: Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure safety and security.Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarms; report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.Access Control: Monitor and control entry points to ensure only authorized access to restricted areas.Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergencies; assist staff during crises and evacuations.Provide Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, patients, and staff; provideDirections and ensure adherence to policies.Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations and handle interactions professionally.Report Writing: Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents; complete incident and security reports.Collaboration: Work with hospital staff and local law enforcement to ensure coordinated security.Policy Enforcement: Enforce hospital policies and visitor/patient protocols in a safe manner.PrerequisitesClear Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector CheckValid First Aid & CPR - Level CTuberculosis (TB) ScreeningVaccination Documentation (full series of childhood vaccinations)Tdap Vaccine (18+)Tdap booster every 10 yearsCovid Vaccine (two doses)Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two-step TB skin testValid Class 5 Driver License; willingness to work at sites within reasonable driving distanceEnglish fluency (oral and written)Experience in security, law enforcement, or related field preferredCertifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) or complete Paladin\'s UOF/MOAB pre-hire trainingEducation RequirementsHigh School DiplomaCertification RequirementsStandard First Aid, CPR Level CCode of Conduct / Vulnerable Sector CheckAdditional Information / BenefitsPaladin Security values a diverse workforce and is committed to respect, inclusion, and diversity.
