Responsibilities Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats, working independently. Engineering Drawings: Create engineering drawings to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions. Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support development and validation. Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow HSE policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks, mitigating serious issues as appropriate. Technical Development Recommendation: Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure. Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities through assessment and development planning, formal and informal training, and coaching; maintain external professional accreditation as relevant. Testing: Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards. Research: Carry out a range of research activities to support others or fulfill role requirements. Waste Management: Lead or supervise waste projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective waste reduction, segregation, and disposal. Technical Troubleshooting: Support troubleshooting efforts, aiding in the quick and accurate identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues with equipment and experiments. Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals. Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships using relevant sales or client systems. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Possession of a P.Eng. designation to stamp/certify designs (mandatory). P.E. designation in the U.S. considered an asset. Experience 5+ years of experience developing and implementing strategies for complex remediation and/or risk management. Experience in technical delivery of investigations, designs (including drawings and specifications), and construction support for environmental remediation projects in Canada and the U.S. Experience and desire to provide high‑profile clients with responsive and innovative solutions. Experience working on Canadian and/or U.S. Federal projects is considered an asset. Proven experience in client advocacy while developing trusted relationships with regulators. Strong understanding of Canadian (including Ontario) environmental legislation. Understanding U.S. environmental legislation is considered an asset. Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and report‑writing skills. Strong commitment to client service excellence. Initiative‑taking.
