Inventory Control and Quality Supervisor - Night ShiftJoin to apply for the Inventory Control and Quality Supervisor - Night Shift role at Longo's.We are looking for a passionate Inventory Control and Quality Supervisor who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, customer service‑centric, team environment.Job OverviewSupervision of Inventory Control and Quality Assurance. Ensure completion of daily tasks related to Inventory Control, keeping cycle counting on track throughout the fiscal year. Responsible for scheduling orders in the WMS, manual billing of Flow orders. Provide support for stores and other departments in the Support Centre. Support company initiatives and programs. Provide coaching for Team Members as needed. Build positive relationships with team members.AccountabilitiesLeadership and People ManagementUphold and model the company’s values of honesty, trustworthiness and mutual respect.Provide daily supervision to ensure safe, clean, efficient warehouse operation.Oversee inventory control/quality assurance and assignments.Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, coaching, and disciplining team members.Safety, Equipment, Sanitation, SecurityEnsure all team members adhere to food safety, health and workplace safety, sanitization and cleaning procedures.Assist in maintaining warehouse security and operating material‑handling equipment safely.Implementing Warehouse InitiativesSupport IC Manager in implementing warehouse initiatives that support the Inventory Control & Quality Assurance strategy.WMSSupervise and maintain all warehouse management systems.Analyze system and warehouse needs to recommend improvements/enhancements.Interact with users to define business requirements.Troubleshoot issues or delegate to appropriate team member.Inventory ControlManage cycle counting to maintain targets.Investigate inventory discrepancies.Direct allocation of inventory and supplies, optimize processes.Design strategies to minimize cost/time for moving goods.Coordinate activities with accounting, inventory and operations for accurate counting and reconciliation.Oversee and evaluate product stock rotation procedures.Develop action plans and continuous improvement processes.Communicate with Purchasing and other departments regarding discrepancies.QualityCreate, implement, maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures.Measure, track and manage process deviations.Develop coaching and follow‑up programs, drive operational excellence.Work with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues.Provide status updates through written reports and meetings.Take corrective action within accepted authority when challenges arise.Customer ServiceMaintain positive relations with internal customers, vendors and regulators.Reporting and AdministrationIC coordinator/administrator performance appraisals and documentation.Operations benchmarking.Daily, weekly, monthly inventory reports, process deviation reports, coaching reports.Other operational reports as assigned.Implementing Policies and SOPsImplement and train team members on SOPs, WHMIS, Loss Prevention, HR policies.Knowledge, Skills & CompetenciesPost‑secondary education, minimum 5 years WMS experience.5–7 years supervisory experience.Proven leadership skills or training.Understanding of warehouse, delivery and traffic operations.Knowledge of maintenance and equipment care.Knowledge of Employment Standards, WHMIS, Food Safety, Loss Prevention practices.Knowledge of temperature control.Ability to coach and develop others.Material handling equipment certification.Working ConditionsStandard warehouse environment with office meetings.Travel to various warehouse locations when required.Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs require.Longo’s is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
