Job Summary As the Housing Manager, you will supervise and coordinate housing teams across the organization, including the Primary Care Clinic, Pathways to Housing, and Respite to Recovery programs. Your role involves organizing tasks, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and reporting progress to the Program Director. You will also collaborate with the Program Director and Finance Team to manage budgets and ensure timely claims, particularly for eviction-related costs. In addition, you will oversee performance management for your teams, monitor time and attendance, and participate in training and team meetings. Administrative duties, including liaising with funders and submitting reports to external stakeholders, will also be part of your responsibilities. Strong organizational and communication skills are crucial to managing the fast-paced, dynamic nature of the work. Key Responsibilities Housing Support Coordination Support Housing Coordinators and Housing Workers by organizing, tracking, and assigning tasks. Ensure timely completion of tasks and report progress to the Program Director. Team Supervision & Management Supervise two housing teams based at Radius: Pathways to Housing Team: Manage Housing Coordinators and housing support staff. Respite to Recovery & Clinic Sites: Oversee a team lead and two housing support workers. Client Housing Transitions Collaborate with the team to assist clients in moving into and setting up their homes. This includes home viewings, lease signings, and orientation to apartments and neighborhoods. Landlord Relations & Support Work with Housing Coordinators to develop strong, collaborative relationships with landlords. Ensure effective problem-solving and conflict resolution and remain available to landlords for concerns. Housing Support Services Management Oversee workers responsible for coordinating housing-related services, including cleaning, repairs, pest treatments, utility setups, and other move-in or move-out tasks. Financial Oversight & Budget Management Partner with the Program Director and Finance Team to ensure timely claim submissions and to manage housing-related budgets effectively. Ensure the timely completion and follow-up on Exceptional Cost Claims, particularly in cases of eviction. Performance Management Work with the Program Director and Human Resources team to address any performance issues within the team and ensure proper management and support. Approve vacations and timecards in ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with program policies. Training & Development Participate in housing-related training and team meetings. Maintain and update electronic records as required by the program. Administrative Support Assist with other administrative tasks, including liaising with funders and submitting required reports to ensure the program’s smooth operation. Qualifications Experience & Skills At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing needs of diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Familiarity with housing options, landlords, and vendors in Edmonton. Experience working with individuals who experience mental health crisis, addictions, histories of homelessness, or trauma. Knowledge of Housing First and Harm Reduction principles. Experience applying culturally sensitive approaches, particularly with Indigenous populations and people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and efficiency. Proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with strong computer literacy. Responsible, punctual, and committed to continuous learning and self-improvement. Stakeholder Relations Ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professional relationships. Vehicle Requirements Valid Class 5 driver’s license (non-GDL) with a clean driving record. Access to a reliable personal vehicle, as travel within the community is a significant part of the role. Additional Requirements Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check Child Welfare Intervention Check Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certifications Vehicle insurance and appropriate coverage for work-related travel.
