Senior Business Analyst (Investment Data Operations) [P3] Join the Data Operations team within the Investment Solutions Group at HOOPP. The role supports data applications and plays a key part in day‑to‑day data transformation and lineage activities. Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Research, Analyst, and Information Technology What You Will Do Collaborate with teams across the back, mid, and front office to understand needs, co‑create solutions, and keep stakeholders informed. Integrate across multiple investment systems using custom or industry protocols. Manage vendor relationships for new builds, enhancements, and support of existing workflows and analyze impact from upstream system and vendor changes. Create designs and processes to ensure operations of a critical business. Provide support for business partners when anomalies occur or questions need answering by investigating technical problems. Collaborate with an agile team, involving learning and flexibility to achieve high‑performing results. Learn how transactions are recorded in the book of record and confirm state of data through source systems and data warehouse. Actively participate in Agile/Scrum practices such as daily stand‑ups and backlog refinement. Support the team in developing and realizing the product vision (roadmaps, scope, MVPs, etc.). Participate in a shared on‑call rotation, including weekend and holiday support for critical overnight data processes. Who You Are 3+ years of Capital Markets domain knowledge in Futures, Bonds, Equity, FX, or Derivatives trading and post‑trade. Experience supporting data operations, investigations, and root‑cause analysis. Experience working with third‑party vendors and integration teams (e.g., Bloomberg, ICE) on technical solutions within defined timelines. Understanding of IT principles such as databases, functions, UI, business rules, and software systems. Possess a quality‑assurance mindset and ability to test software to find issues and confirm functionality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with users, developers, and stakeholders. Analytical skills to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. Strong facilitation and communication skills to uncover deeper business needs and understand broader impact. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Professionalism, integrity, and prioritization skills in a dynamic, supportive environment. SQL and Python knowledge, or experience with SAP HANA, Snowflake; Bloomberg or SimCorp Dimensions experience is an asset. Experience designing technical solutions with developers. Leadership attributes to foster teamwork and enable change (beneficial). Capacity to self‑explore, navigate, and make decisions in ambiguous situations.
