Some travel to customer locations and industry events will also be needed.ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities & RequirementsSupport outside sales by dialoging with architects and structural engineers on the preliminary truss design and building modeling.Educate and train customers on software functionality and capabilities to model out truss and building designsEducate customers on truss concepts, building modeling and alternative methodsTest software and new enhancements to ensure a positive user experienceQualificationsBachelors Building and Construction Technology required orBachelors Related Field required4+ Years of experience with commercial truss design experience, building modeling and/or project management including offsite component design requiredProficient with Microsoft OfficeExperience working with AutoCAD software including AutoCAD Architecture, Revit, MiTek software including Steel Engine and Design, understand general truss design and engineering conceptsEquivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basisSoft SkillsExcellent verbal and written communications in order to effectively articulate instructions and guidance in assisting customers in highly technical aspects; ability to listen to customer challenges and find solutions.Additional RequirementsValid drivers' license and proof of auto insurance required.20% Customer locations, trade showsPhysical DemandsThis role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.MiTek is a platform innovator and enabler that exists to transform the building industry with better building solutions.
