Project Coordinator (Civil Construction)Maple Reinders Constructors is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Civil construction division in Wasaga Beach, Ontario.The role supports Project Managers on heavy civil and industrial projects and assists with documentation, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and various contract types (Design-Build, Plan and Spec, Construction Management). The primary objective is to help deliver projects profitably, to spec, with high quality and a strong focus on site safety.ResponsibilitiesParticipate on heavy civil and industrial type projectsAssist in preparing budgets and construction schedules, setting up project administration filesWith direction from the Project Manager, initiate and maintain correspondence with Owner, Architect, Engineers, sub-trades and suppliersGain an understanding of how to select suppliers and sub-trades and obtaining quotationsAssist with and/or clarify scope of work with sub-trades and suppliersDevelop successful relationships with current and prospective clients, consultants, realtors, and developersEnsure there is a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements as well as our Corporate Health and Safety PolicyAttend site meetings and assist in the completion of project deficienciesClose tenders in consultation with senior managersQualifications/SkillsMinimum 1 year or more experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry.A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or a combination of education and industry experience.Company valuesPeople - Supporting our people to thrive.Integrity - Doing the right thing without compromise.Relationships - Building trust with clients & partners.Stewardship - Caring for communities & the environment.Ingenuity - Embracing challenges.
